The idea that the Devil has something attached to the incidents appears many time throughout the film. There were many unusual tidbits of Americana that might make this more of a cult film than anything else. It was pretty much the same old song & dance except no major way of explaining why and how things were supposed to happen. This film failed to explain much of anything. Every one of the original 3 films had a way of explaining itself. I was not at all interested in seeing this in 3D, yet was very excited to see what kinds of new ways of inventiveness they had to show how death caught up with a person through cause and effect. The total scene count was approximately 11.
Unfortunately, this didn't happen with me on this film, even knowing that this film had more death scenes in them than any other. IS THIS REALLY "THE" FINAL INSTALLMENT? HOPE NOT!Īs someone amazed with the idea of actually cheating death, the previous films have always seemed to amaze me & keep me coming back for more.
